How To Make Porcini-rubbed rib of beef

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs rib of beef
  • 2 tbsp dried porcini mushrooms, ground into powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the porcini powder, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Pat the rib of beef dry with paper towels. Rub the porcini mixture all over the beef, making sure to coat it evenly.

  4. Place the beef on a roasting rack set in a roasting pan.

  5. Roast the beef in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired level of doneness (125°F for medium-rare).

  6. Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

  7. Slice the beef into thick slices and serve.
