How To Make Marinated Bavette Steak

  • 1 ½ pounds bavette steak
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper


  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and black pepper.

  2. Place the bavette steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and discard the marinade.

  4. Grill the steak for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. Slice the steak against the grain and serve.
