How To Make Butcher’s Steak (Hanger Steak)

Ingredients

  • 4 hanger steaks (about 1 lb each)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, thyme, rosemary, and paprika to form a paste.

  3. Brush the paste evenly over both sides of the hanger steaks.

  4. Place steaks on the hot grill or skillet and cook for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  5. Remove steaks from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.

  6. Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately.
