Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of flat iron steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, dried rosemary, and black pepper.

  2. Place flat iron steak in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  3. Preheat grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.

  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess marinade.

  5. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the steak and place it on the grill or grill pan.

  6. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.

  7. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute and make the steak more tender.

  8. Slice the flat iron steak against the grain and serve.
