Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the sweet potato into thin slices to make chips.

  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. Shape the turkey mixture into 4 patties and place them on a lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

  4. While the turkey burgers are baking, toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a separate lined baking sheet.

  5. Bake the sweet potato chips in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until crispy.

  6. Assemble the turkey burgers on the whole wheat buns with a slice of cheddar cheese. Serve with the crispy sweet potato chips.
