How To Make Big Boy Burger

Try this copycat Big Boy burger, made with ground chuck patty, homemade sauce, and American cheese, for a delectable bite served in just 30 minutes.

  • 1lbground chuck
  • 8hamburger buns
  • 3tbspBig Boy hamburger sauce,per patty
  • lettuce,shredded
  • American cheese
  • pickles,optional

For Big Boy Hamburger Sauce:

  • 1cupmayonnaise
  • ¼cupHeinz chili sauce
  • ¼cupketchup
  • 3tbspsugar
  • ½cuppickle relish,do not drain
  • tspgarlic salt


  1. Divide ground chuck into 8 equal portions and shape into patties, keeping each quite thin. Sear briskly on lightly greased hot grill or griddle, turning only once, till medium well. Arrange each patty on bottom half of hamburger buns.

  2. Apply 2 or 3 tablespoons of Big Boy Hamburger Sauce to each patty and then arrange a little shredded lettuce over each. Place 1 atop the other and a slice of American cheese over the top patty. Apply top of the hamburger bun and serve at once.

  1. Stir all ingredients together with a fork. Use on burgers. Enjoy!
