  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion slices for serving
  • For the minty yogurt:
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the minty yogurt by combining the Greek yogurt, mint leaves, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.

  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly toasted.

  6. Place a lamb patty on each bun and top with a generous dollop of minty yogurt. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion slices if desired.

  7. Serve the spiced lamb burgers with minty yogurt immediately.
