How To Make Hamburger Steaks with Creamy Mushroom Gravy

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions

In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into 4 hamburger steaks.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the hamburger steaks for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are golden brown and tender. Remove mushrooms from skillet and set aside.

In the skillet, sprinkle flour over the melted butter. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Slowly whisk in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened.
