How To Make Breakfast Burger

Nothing could brighten up the morning better than this breakfast burger, made with a bagel, meaty patty, bacon, and drizzled with a maple sriracha aioli.

Ingredients

For Maple Sriracha Aioli:

  • cupmayonnaise
  • tbsppure maple syrup
  • 1tbspsriracha chili sauce

For Burgers:

  • 1lblean ground beef,93%
  • ½lbsage pork breakfast sausage
  • 8slicesmuenster cheese,or any cheese desired
  • 8mini bagels
  • 8slicesmaple bacon,cut in half, cooked, and drained on paper towels
  • 8eggs
  • 2cupsmixed greens,like arugula
  • 8red onion,thin sliced
  • 1roma tomato,thinly sliced

Instructions

Maple Sriracha Aioli:

  1. In a medium bowl mix together the mayonnaise, maple syrup, and sriracha sauce until smooth. Set aside.

Burgers:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Using the hands, combine the lean ground beef and pork sausage in a large bowl. Careful not to overmix but try to get the sausage well-incorporated.

  3. Form 8 small patties that are as close in size as much as possible.

  4. Heat a grill pan or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add as many of the patties. Sear each side for about 1 minute before turning.

  5. Preheat the oven to toast the bagels.

  6. Continue cooking the burgers for about a total of 4 minutes on each side until the centers are cooked through.

  7. Add the cheese to each burger and remove them to a plate.

  8. Take the golden bagels out of the oven.

  9. In a nonstick skillet cook the eggs.

To Assemble:

  1. Spread the Maple Sriracha Aioli on both sides of each bagel. On the bottom bagel half stack the greens, an onion ring, and a couple of thin tomato slices.

  2. Then add the burger. Top it with the fried egg, half a slice of bacon, and then the top half of the bagel.

  3. Serve hot.
