How To Make Crockpot Chicken Fajitas

Ingredients

  • 2tspchili powder
  • 1tspsalt
  • 1tspbrown sugar
  • 1tspgarlic powder
  • ½tspcumin
  • ¼tspcayenne pepper
  • ¼cupchicken brothlow sodium
  • 3chicken breastsboneless and skinless
  • 1red bell pepperthinly sliced
  • 1green bell pepperthinly sliced
  • 1yellow bell pepperthinly sliced
  • 1onionthinly sliced
  • 1cuptomato salsa

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, salt, brown sugar, garlic powder, cumin and cayenne pepper.

  2. In a 2 ½-4 quart crockpot, add broth and chicken breasts in a single layer. Sprinkle chicken with half of the seasoning.

  3. Top with peppers and onion and season with remaining seasoning mix.

  4. Add salsa and spread into a thin layer on top of the peppers.

  5. Put the lid on and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or on high for 2 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F degrees.

  6. Serve with tortillas, salsa, rice, sour cream, and cheese as desired. Serve and enjoy!
