Crock Pot Roast Recipe

How To Make Crock Pot Roast

A simple pot roast that's aromatic and flavorful cooked the simple way using a crock pot.

  • 1 boneless chuck roast
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 10 ½ oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. Italian dressing
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 pkg. brown gravy ((0.87 oz))
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Place the roast in the crock pot.
  2. Mix onion soup mix and cream of chicken soup; spread all over roast.
  3. Gently add 1 cup of water.
  4. Cook 2-3 hours on high.

  5. Add all other ingredients.

  6. (Optional) Add carrots, potatoes, celery, onions, etc. Cook on low about 6 hours rather than on high.

  7. Using two forks, pull roast apart.
  8. Serve over or with rice or mashed potatoes, using the remaining juices as gravy to pour over roast.
