Warm Bacon and Cheese Dip Recipe

How To Make Warm Bacon and Cheese Dip

Serve some cheesy and creamy goodness with our recipe for warm bacon and cheese dip. It has a combination of 3 cheeses, loads of bacon, and sour cream.

  • 12ozbacon,chopped
  • 8ozcream cheese,softened
  • ¾cupmayonnaise
  • 1cupsour cream
  • 1tspgarlic powder
  • 1cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • 1cupmozzarella cheese,shredded
  • 4scallions,finely chopped

For the Bread Bowl & Toppings: optional

  • 1round cob bread,sourdough works best
  • 5Jatz / Ritz,or other plain savoury cracker, crushed
  • oil spray

To Serve:

  • crackers
  • chips
  • toasted bread


  1. Heat skillet over high heat, cook bacon until browned. Drain on paper towel lined place.

  2. Mix together remaining dip ingredients until well combined, reserving some bacon and scallions for garnish.

  3. Microwave on high for 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  4. Mix well to bring together. Serve warm, garnished with crushed crackers, extra bacon and scallions.

  5. See directions below if serving in a bread bowl.

Bread Bowl:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Use a small knife to cut a circle on the top of the bread then remove enough bread to make a bowl, leaving around ¾ inches around the sides and base. Pour the dip into the bowl.

  3. Top with crackers, spray generously with oil then bake for 20 minutes or until golden.

  4. Top with remaining bacon and shallots. Serve warm.
