Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve the Michigan sauce over hot dogs or burgers.
