Ingredients
- ⅔cupheavy cream
- ½cuplight corn syrup
- ⅓cuppacked dark or light brown sugar
- ¼cupunsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅛tspsalt
- 5ozsemi-sweet chocolate,finely chopped, divided
- 2tbspunsalted butter
- 1tspvanilla extract
Instructions

In a 1½ quart saucepan combine cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and 3 ounces of chocolate.

Bring mixture to a light boil over medium heat, reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes stirring frequently.

Remove from heat, add in the remaining 2 ounces chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract, then stir until smooth. Let cool to warm.

Serve over ice cream. Sauce can be store in an airtight container in a refrigerator for 1 week. Reheat before serving.
