Here’s the perfect pair for countless desserts! This hot fudge sauce made with heavy cream, corn syrup, and chocolate chips, takes 5 minutes to prep.

  • cupheavy cream
  • ½cuplight corn syrup
  • cuppacked dark or light brown sugar
  • ¼cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • tspsalt
  • 5ozsemi-sweet chocolate,finely chopped, divided
  • 2tbspunsalted butter
  • 1tspvanilla extract


  1. In a 1½ quart saucepan combine cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and 3 ounces of chocolate.

  2. Bring mixture to a light boil over medium heat, reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes stirring frequently.

  3. Remove from heat, add in the remaining 2 ounces chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract, then stir until smooth. Let cool to warm.

  4. Serve over ice cream. Sauce can be store in an airtight container in a refrigerator for 1 week. Reheat before serving.
