How To Make Simple Bolognese Sauce
Rich with vegetable flavors, this tangy bolognese sauce is made with onion, tomatoes, and red lentils for a tasty sauce over pasta!

Ingredients
- 1cupred lentils
- 1¾cupswater
- 14⅖oztomatoes,(2 cans), chopped
- 2onions,chopped
- 1cubevegetable bouillon
- salt and ground black pepper,to taste
Instructions

Rinse the lentils under cold running water and drain.

Place the water and lentils in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for about 20 minutes until the lentils just begin to soften.

Stir the tomatoes and onions into the lentils, then bring to a gentle simmer. Crumble the bouillon cube into the lentil mixture and stir until it’s dissolved.

Simmer for about 5 minutes more, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve over rice or pasta and enjoy.
