  • 1tbspvegetable oil
  • 1medium onion
  • 3garlic cloves
  • coarse salt and ground pepper,to taste
  • 1cupketchup
  • 1cupbeef broth,canned
  • ¾cupcider vinegar
  • ¼cuplight brown sugar,packed
  • ½tspground cumin
  • ½tspground coriander
  • ½tspcelery salt
  • ¼tspcayenne pepper


  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, then season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until onion is translucent.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients, then bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes until sauce has thickened.

  3. Use as desired and enjoy.
