You’ll never have to use storebought salsa with this salsa recipe. It has tomato, jalapenos, onions, and cilantro mixed together in a blender until smooth.

  • 1jalapeno,stem removed, halved and de-seeded
  • 12oztomato juice,can
  • 1smallwhite onion
  • 2mediumtomatoes,cut in quarters
  • ½tbspkosher salt
  • ½tbspblack pepper,freshly ground
  • ½tbspcumin,ground
  • 2tbspcanola oil


  1. Add the jalapeno and tomato juice to the blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and pulse until it has a coarse texture.

  3. Serve or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
