- ½tspolive oil
- 4garlic cloves,minced
- 1½cupsreduced sodium chicken or vegetable broth
- 3cupstomato sauce,canned
- 2tbspchipotle chilis in adobo sauce,chopped to taste
- 1tspmexican hot chili powder,or more to taste
- 1tspground cumin
- ½tspkosher salt
- fresh black pepper,to taste
Instructions

Heat a saucepan over medium heat, add the oil and garlic; sauté for about 1 minute until golden.

Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce, chipotle chiles, hot chili powder, cumin, and salt and pepper, to taste. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered for about 7 to 10 minutes.
