How To Make Pumpkin Puree

You only need 2 ingredients to make this simple pumpkin puree! Skip the store-bought version, and whip up your own puree anytime.

Ingredients

  • 4lbssugar pie pumpkin
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with foil, then coat the foil with cooking spray.

  2. Cut the stem off the pumpkin, then cut the pumpkin in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds from the pumpkin.

  3. Place the pumpkin halves, cut side down, on the prepared pan.

  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until the pumpkin is very tender.

  5. Scoop the flesh out of the shells, then place it in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

  6. Use in pies, cakes, and more, and enjoy!
