How To Make Mississippi Sin

Prep: 15 mins
Cook: 1 hr
Total: 1 hr 15 mins

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, about 8 oz
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ham, cooked, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green chilies, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb French bread, round loaf

  1. Combine all the ingredients except the bread in a medium bowl, stirring well. Set aside.

  2. Cut a thin slice from the top of the bread loaf and set slice aside.

  3. Using a gentle sawing motion, cut vertically to, but not through, the bottom of the loaf, 1/2-inch from the edge.

  4. Lift out the center of the loaf and cut into 1-inch cubes, setting them aside.

  5. Fill the hollowed bread loaf with the dip. Cover with the reserved top bread slice.

  6. Wrap the bread loaf with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  7. Serve with reserved bread cubes, crackers, or potato chips.
