Ingredients
- 1tbspvegetable oil
- ½yellow onion,diced
- 2clovesgarlic,minced
- 29oztomato sauce
- Âľcupbrown sugar,packed
- â…“cupapple cider vinegar
- 3tbspmolasses
- 2tbspWorcestershire sauce
- 2tbspyellow mustard
- 1tbspchili powder
- ½tspcayenne pepper
- ½tspcelery seed
- 1tspkosher salt
- 1tspcoarse ground black pepper
Instructions

Add oil and onion to a large pot on medium heat.

Cook, stirring occasionally until onions are translucent and just starting to brown, about 6-8 minutes.

Add in garlic and stir until fragrant.

Add in the tomato sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, chili powder, cayenne pepper, celery seed, salt and pepper to the pot and still well.

Cook uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until thickened.

Use hot or keep in refrigerator until needed.
