  • 12ozcranberries,(2 bags), fresh or frozen
  • 2cupapple cider
  • ½tspcinnamon
  • ¼tspground cloves
  • ¼tspnutmeg,freshly grated
  • ¼tspground cardamom


  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries and apple cider with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and cardamom and bring to a boil.

  2. Cook over moderately high heat, coarsely mashing the berries with a wooden spoon, until the sauce is softened and jamlike, about 5 minutes.

  3. Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled. Enjoy!
