How To Make Hot Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip

Sweet, caramelized onions are loaded in this creamy bacon dip. With its two kinds of cheeses, it will definitely be a new party favorite.

  • 1tbspoil
  • 4largesweet onions,thinly sliced
  • ½cupwater
  • 4ozcream cheese,softened
  • ½cupmayonnaise
  • ¾cupremand cheese,grated, divided
  • 6slicesbacon,cooked and crumbled
  • Salt and pepper,to taste


  1. In a medium sized skillet add oil, onions, and water. Cook over medium high heat until browned and caramelized adding more water as needed.

  2. Combine onions, cream cheese, mayonnaise, half a cup grated cheese and bacon.

  3. Spread into a baking dish and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 to 30 minutes. Or until top is nicely golden brown.
