  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish


  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened and translucent.

  3. Stir in the jar of spaghetti sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

  5. Serve the enhanced spaghetti sauce over cooked spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
