How To Make Easy Cranberry Sauce
This tart-sweet cranberry sauce is also laced with the warm spice of cinnamon for a tastier sauce best for meats or even on toasts.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cranberries, whole, washed and picked over, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup cranberry juice, or water
- 2 cinnamon sticks, whole
Instructions
- Mix sugar and water or cranberry juice in a saucepan over low heat. Mix gradually to dissolve sugar then add the cinnamon sticks.
- Add the cranberries and bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat to simmer.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the berries begin to pop.
- Remove from heat and cool completely at room temperature then refrigerate. This makes about 4½ cups. Best with your roasted turkey and stuffing!
