How To Make Donkey Sauce
The blend of tangy and warm hints in this donkey sauce recipe elevates simple sandwiches into a scrumptious dish with a kick.
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 garlic head, small, roasted
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco sauce
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, large pinch
Instructions

Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees F.

Slice off the top ¼ to ⅓ of a head of garlic.

Drizzle with olive oil and roast the garlic in a garlic roaster or wrapped in tin foil for 35 to 45 minutes or until soft.

Allow to cool, then squeeze the garlic out of the head into a small bowl. Mash the roasted garlic using a fork into a puree.

Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, Tabasco, Kosher salt, and ground pepper, stir to combine.
