This simple salad dressing is made from scratch and you can simply adjust the ingredients to your preference. Made with flavorful spices and fresh veggies.

  • 1cucumber
  • 1iceberg lettuce head,cut into bite-sized pieces
  • romaine head,cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4plum tomatoes,cut into wedges
  • ½chicory head,cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½cupextra-virgin olive oil,to taste
  • 3tbspbalsamic vinegar,to taste
  • 1tspItalian seasoning
  • 1tsplemon juice
  • ½tspcelery seed
  • ½tspgarlic salt
  • tspground black pepper
  • tspground ginger
  • ¼cuppignoli,or pine nuts, optional
  • ¼cupparmesan cheese,freshly grated


  1. Run a fork down the length of the cucumber to create thin stripes. Cut the cucumber into thin slices.

  2. Mix cucumber, iceberg lettuce, romaine, tomatoes, and chicory together in a large bowl. Add olive oil and balsamic vinegar; toss to coat.

  3. Season with Italian seasoning, lemon juice, celery seed, garlic salt, pepper, and ginger.

  4. Garnish salad with pignoli and Parmesan cheese.
