  • cupolive oil
  • 1cupgarlic,finely chopped

  • 6basil leaves
  • salt and freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Crush tomatoes with hands or puree in food processor along with their juices.

  2. Place oil in a large sauté pan or wide pot over medium-low heat. Add onions and sauté until softened. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, then add tomatoes and juices. Raise heat to medium and bring to boil.
