- ¼cupolive oil
- ⅓cuplime juice
- ¼cupwater
- 1tspsugar
- 1¼tspkosher salt
- ¼tspground cumin
- 2garlic cloves,minced
- 1½tspsmoked paprika
- 1tsponion powder
- 2tbspchili powder,*
- ¼tsppepper
Instructions

Place the olive oil, lime juice, water, sugar, kosher salt, cumin, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, chili powder, and pepper in a bowl. Stir to combine.

Marinate over chicken for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.

- *Depending on the heat level of the chili powder, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of chili powder. If using mild chili powder, do the full 2 tablespoons.
- This marinate works for 1 pound of sliced chicken.
