How To Make Aji Verde

Try your hand on this Peruvian spicy green sauce! Our aji verde makes the perfect sauce for tacos, meats, and many more tasteful meals.

Ingredients

  • ½cupmayonnaise
  • 2 cupsfresh cilantrolightly packed
  • 2medium jalapeñosseeds and membranes removed but reserved, roughly chopped
  • 2garlic clovesroughly chopped
  • cupCotijaor Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1tbsplime juice
  • ¼tspfine sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the mayonnaise, cilantro, jalapenos, garlic, cotija, lime juice, and sea salt.

  2. Blend until the cilantro has broken into very tiny pieces and the sauce is green and mostly smooth.

  3. Serve on desired meals, and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

 

If the flavor is too overwhelming, blend in 1 tablespoon of olive oil while running the food processor. If it’s not spicy enough, add some of the reserved jalapeño seeds and blend again. For a more tangy sauce, add another tablespoon of lime juice and/or a pinch of salt.
