  • 1 lb green split peas (picked over)
  • 3 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¾ tsp black pepper
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 8 cups water (cold )
  • 1 tsp salt
  1. Put all ingredients in crockpot and mix well.
  2. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until peas are tender.

  3. Stir occasionally. Serve when done.
