  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

  2. Add the onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.

  4. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.

  6. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  7. Serve hot and garnish with your favorite toppings.
