  • 1 cup dried mung beans
  • 1 cup dried adzuki beans
  • 1 cup dried cranberry beans
  • 1 cup dried pink beans
  • 1 cup dried anasazi beans
  • 1 cup dried black turtle beans
  • 1 cup dried cayenne beans
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 2 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons dried tarragon
  • 2 tablespoons dried dill
  • 2 tablespoons dried cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons dried bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer the dried beans and peas in a 1-quart jar, alternating the varieties.

  2. Add the dried herbs and seasonings on top.

  3. Seal the jar tightly.

  4. To prepare the soup:

  6. In a large pot, combine the beans, peas, and seasoning from the jar.

  7. Add enough water to cover the ingredients by 2 inches.
