How To Make Quick and Easy White Chili

This white chili is hot and spicy as well as tasty with the mix of pork and herbs produce a balanced flavor. The cheese adds to the creaminess of the dish.

Ingredients

  • 1lbground pork
  • 2tbspolive oil
  • 2onions,chopped
  • 5clovesgarlic,chopped
  • 2cansgreen chiles,(4 oz), diced
  • 2tspground cumin
  • 1tsporegano,dried
  • 4cupschicken broth
  • 14.5ozgreat Northern beans,rinsed and drained
  • 2cupsMonterey Jack Cheese,shredded

Instructions

  1. Cook and drain the pork.

  2. In a large stockpot, saute onions and garlic in olive oil until transparent. Stir in the chilies, cumin, and oregano.

  3. Cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes more.

  4. Add broth, pork, and beans; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook uncovered for 20 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat, and stir in the cheese until melted.
