Preparation: 30 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 60 minutes

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

  1. In a bowl, combine ground pork, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, green onions, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half to create a triangular shape, and press to seal. Repeat with the remaining pork mixture and wrappers.

  3. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add the prepared wontons and cook for 5 minutes or until they float to the surface.

  4. Add bok choy and carrot to the pot and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

  5. Serve the soup hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
