  • 4 Italian sausages
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup pasta, cooked
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)


  1. In a large pot, cook the Italian sausages over medium heat until browned. Remove from the pot and slice into bite-sized pieces.

  2. In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.

  4. Add the cooked pasta and sliced sausages to the pot and simmer for another 10 minutes.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
