How To Make Instant Pot® Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, chopped cilantro
Instructions

Turn on the Instant Pot® and select the “Saute” function. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Remove the turkey from the pot and set aside.

Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the Instant Pot®. Saute for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

Return the browned turkey to the pot. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot® and make sure the valve is set to “Sealing.” Select the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” function and set the cooking time to 10 minutes.

Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully switch the valve to “Venting” for a quick release of any remaining pressure.

Remove the lid and stir the chili. Serve hot with your choice of optional toppings.
