How To Make Cabbage Soup
Keep warm during cold days with this cabbage soup recipe. A mix of beef, potatoes, cabbage, and more to make a hearty and cozy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, ground
- 2 onions, large, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup celery, diced
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 28 oz tomatoes , or 2 lb frozen
- 10 oz tomato paste
- 2 cups raw potatoes, diced
- 2 cups carrots, diced
- 4 cups beef stock
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 7 leaves cabbage, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Saute beef, onions, garlic, celery and green pepper in oil.
- Add remaining ingredients except for the cabbage. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour.
- Add cabbage and simmer for 1 more hour, adding more water up to 3 cups if necessary. Serve warm.
