How To Make Watermelon Fire and Ice Salsa

A perfectly balanced watermelon salsa for summertime. Made from chopped watermelon, green bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro, green onions, and jalapeno.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3cupswatermelon,(approximately ¼-inch) finely diced
  • ½cupgreen bell pepper,finely diced
  • 2tbsplime juice
  • 2tbspfresh cilantro,chopped
  • 3tbspgreen onions,chopped
  • 2tbspjalapeno pepper,seeded and finely diced
  • ½tspgarlic salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, gently mix together the chopped watermelon, green bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro, green onions, jalapeno with a spoon.

  2. Pour into a colander or mesh strainer and gently stir to strain out any extra juices.  

  3. Then add in garlic salt, transfer to a serving bowl (or hollowed-out watermelon half) and serve immediately.
