Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Butter, for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

  2. Take a slice of bread and spread a spoonful of maple syrup on one side.

  3. Place a few slices of banana on top of the maple syrup.

  4. Take another slice of bread and place it on top, creating a sandwich.

  5. Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.

  6. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread and fillings.

  7. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  8. Place the stuffed French toast sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  9. Remove from the skillet and serve immediately with an extra drizzle of maple syrup.
