  • 1 cup cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour four ramekins or mini baking dishes.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth.

  5. Divide the cherries among the prepared ramekins.

  6. Pour the batter over the cherries, filling each ramekin 3/4 full.

  7. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the clafoutis is set and golden brown on top.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
