Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups turkey or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup turkey drippings (optional)
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

Gradually whisk in the turkey or chicken broth and turkey drippings (if using), making sure there are no lumps.

Stir in the poultry seasoning and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the gravy has thickened.

Remove from heat and let the gravy cool completely.

Once cooled, transfer the gravy to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

When ready to serve, reheat the gravy on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
