How To Make Jamaican Stuffing

Stuffing is a great add-on to your main dishes. More than just something to fill the turkey with during Thanksgiving, stuffing is a wonderful side dish to complement your dish of choice. There’s no stopping you in enjoying this stuffing recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, onion, garlic, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, thyme leaves, salt, black pepper, paprika, allspice, and cayenne pepper.

  3. In a small saucepan, heat the chicken or vegetable broth and olive oil until warm. Pour the mixture over the bread crumb mixture and stir until well combined.

  4. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

  6. Serve hot as a side dish with your favorite Jamaican recipes.
