How To Make Jimmy Dean Sausage Stuffing

Stuffing is a great add-on to your main dishes. More than just something to fill the turkey with during Thanksgiving, stuffing is a wonderful side dish to complement your dish of choice. There’s no stopping you in enjoying this stuffing recipe!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the Jimmy Dean sausage, onion, and celery over medium heat until the sausage is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage mixture, cubed bread, dried sage, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

  4. Pour the chicken broth and melted butter over the bread mixture. Stir until the bread is evenly coated and moistened.

  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.

  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the sausage stuffing rest for 5 minutes before serving.
