Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (15oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.

  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, and eggs. Stir in pumpkin puree and water.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow bread to cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
