- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
Instructions

Split the vanilla bean lengthwise with a sharp knife.

Scrape out the seeds from the vanilla bean using the back of the knife.

In a clean, dry jar, combine the sugar and vanilla seeds.

Place the empty vanilla bean pod into the jar as well.

Close the jar tightly and shake it vigorously to evenly distribute the vanilla seeds.

Let the vanilla sugar sit for at least 24 hours to infuse the flavors.
