Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional toppings: avocado, cilantro, diced red onion

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.

  2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with optional toppings if desired.
