How To Make Habanero Hellfire Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 habanero peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Add the onion, garlic, and habanero peppers to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.

  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring the chili to a simmer and let it cook for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve hot with optional toppings.
