How To Make Tofu with Chilli & Greens

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 1 bunch of greens (such as kale or bok choy), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced chilli. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Add the cubed tofu to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, flipping the tofu occasionally, until it is golden brown on all sides.

  3. Add the chopped greens to the pan. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the greens are wilted.

  4. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch mixture, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the tofu and greens in the pan. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

  5. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and greens.

  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
