Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the sliced cabbage, red and green bell peppers, and julienned carrots to the skillet.

  4. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

  6. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried vegetables and toss to coat evenly.

  7. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage is cooked to your desired level of tenderness.

  8. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.

  9. Serve hot as a side dish.
